MyMichigan Medical Center Midland is a 328‑bed medical center located in a tranquil setting on 180 beautifully wooded acres. The facility sits directly on campus, making it convenient for both staff and patients. Midland is an upscale, family‑oriented community of nearly 40,000 people, centrally located in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula and less than two hours from the Detroit Metropolitan area. Full‑time BC/BE experienced neurosurgeon or graduating resident or fellow. The candidate must have excellent clinical and technical skills with experience in the latest neurosurgical techniques. Recruitment focus is operative general neurosurgery, with support for subspecialty interests such as functional neurosurgery (Gamma Knife, deep brain stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation).
Active recruitment is launched to support growth in the neurosurgical service line. Lengthening wait times, increased demand for functional neurosurgery, and the need for additional coverage are key drivers for adding a neurosurgeon to the department.
The broad‑based neurosurgical practice includes spine, cranial, and peripheral nerve surgery. A full range of state‑of‑the‑art equipment is available, including neuro‑navigation and stereotactic radiosurgery. Functional neurosurgery opportunities are available through Gamma Knife surgery, deep brain stimulation, and vagus nerve stimulation.
